“Pioneering Parents in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” Webinar Held

The UNESCO Chair on E-Learning and Teaching, in its new round of educational and promotional activities, has planned a series of webinars to raise public awareness in the digital field, targeting a diverse range of audiences, under the title “UNESCO Chair Seasonal Webinars; Public Digital Literacy”.
The first event in this series, entitled “Pioneering Parents in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: How to Prepare Our Children for Tomorrow?” was held on September 6, 2025.
The guest lecturer of this webinar was Dr. Mohammad Reza Ghoddousi, lecturer and consultant in artificial intelligence.
The webinar addressed topics such as how children and adolescents(1) interact with AI tools and how parents and caregivers can support them. Also, suitable artificial intelligence tools that can be effective in the mental development and cultivation of children and adolescents’ abilities were introduced. In his speech, Dr. Ghoddousi emphasized the development of critical thinking in children and adolescents, and explained right questioning as the most important need of children and adolescents in dealing with various types of AI. He added that instead of building a safe road for our children, we should train children who can safely pass through unsafe roads.
At the end of the webinar, the participants’ questions were answered.
It should be noted that the complete podcast and clip of this webinar will soon be published on the website and the chair’s social media pages and will be available to those interested.
